Position: M&E Engineer (Mechanical & Electrical Engineer)

Department: Engineering / Construction / Facilities Management

Reports to: Senior M&E Manager / Project Director

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and proactive M&E Engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and supervision of Mechanical and Electrical systems within our projects. Your expertise will ensure that all installations are efficient, compliant with regulations, and delivered on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Design & Planning: Review M&E design drawings and specifications; assist in planning and scheduling of M&E works alongside other disciplines.
• Coordination & Supervision: Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection) and electrical (power, lighting, controls) systems.
• Quality & Compliance: Ensure all M&E works adhere to building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
• Site Management: Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, resolve technical issues, and ensure health and safety protocols are followed.
• Technical Support: Provide guidance to site teams and contractors; troubleshoot construction or operation problems.
• Documentation: Prepare and maintain project documentation (method statements, progress reports, as-built drawings).
• Testing & Commissioning: Lead and witness testing procedures to verify system performance and functionality.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience (typically 2+ years) as an M&E Engineer, preferably in building construction, facilities management, or related industry.
• Solid understanding of building services systems (HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing, fire safety).
• Familiarity with relevant regulations and standards (e.g., BCA, ISO, NFPA).
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics.
