Job summary

A multinational company in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Finance Analyst to conduct financial analyses, build complex financial models, and support M&A transactions. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Finance or Accounting and proficiency in MS Excel. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to manage tasks under tight deadlines. Qualifications

Job description

Build, maintain and review complex financial models to evaluate project feasibility and M&A transactions.

Conduct research on industry landscape, comps, competitor/market; commercial viability, perform financial analyses and valuation and identifying the key risks and potential mitigants in transactions.

Provide execution support including the evaluation of deal structure, highlight projects risks and identify potential mitigation strategies, coordination of the various due diligence workstreams and review of transaction documentation.

Preparation and review of presentation and materials used for engaging internal and external stakeholders.

Collaborate closely with internal teams ie Commercial, Legal, Finance, and Tax for seamless execution of transactions.

Requirements

Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration and Economics.

Strong proficiency in MS Excel, Financial tools, ie VBA macros, or other Excel add-ins; Powerpoint and Word.

Experience in the Power and Utilities industry and familiarity with the broader energy industry will be an advantage.

Strong commercial and analytical skills.

Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in outputs.

Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment under pressure and tight deadlines.

Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
