Job summary

A leading electronics manufacturing company in Kulai, Johor is seeking a Manager for Product Engineering. This role involves managing product engineers, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and addressing customer quality issues. The ideal candidate should have a degree in Electronics Engineering, at least three years of management experience in the manufacturing sector, and knowledge of ISO13485. Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of management experience in contract manufacturing or the electronics manufacturing industry.
• Knowledge of ISO13485 is required.
• Prior experience in a Medical Devices manufacturing environment is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned Product Engineers and guide them in project implementations.
• Ensure compliance with Environmental, Health and Safety policies.
• Lead engineers on customer complaints and quality issues.
• Liaise on new product quotations and monitor ECO implementations.

We’re looking to add a Manager, Product Engineering in Senai, Johor.

As a Manager, Product Engineering You will:

• Contribute to the workplace safety and health improvement for the employees, as well as environmental protection, by adhering to the company’s Environmental, Health and Safety policies and procedures, and helping to achieve EHS objectives and targets through participation of EHS programs.
• To manage assigned Product Engineers per respective Business Unit.
• To provide guidance for the Product Engineer in order to ensure smooth implementation of new project start-up, transfer, Engineering Change Order and engineering run.
• To provide training for new Engineer on procedures and ISO 13485 requirements.
• To follow up with the respective engineer of daily issues with customer/internal staff.
• To lead engineer on customer complaints and urgent quality issues.
• To ensure that ECO implementation in the system is being carried accordingly.
• To liaison with the counter part on all new quotation of time estimation for new product.
• To monitor on ECO’s timely closure, implementation onto the line and material impact disposition.
• To follow up with customer on critical problems and work toward a resolution.
• Approval of process deviation, temporary process authorization and engineering memo.
• Authorize to stop or on hold production run.

What skills and experiences are we looking:

• Degree in Electronics Engineering or other related fields.
• Minimum 3 years of management experience in contract manufacturing, electronics manufacturing industry or Medical Devices/ Life Sciences.
• Knowledge on ISO13485.
• Good knowledge in Box-Build assembly process and LEAN manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge in BOM structure and ECN management.
• Prior experience in Medical Devices manufacturing environment will be an added advantage.
