We are looking for a qualified and driven individual with experience as a Manager, Boarding House, to join our dynamic Education team.

The Manager, Boarding House is a residential leadership role responsible for the overall well‑being of the boarding community and the effective daily operations of the Boarding House at Peninsula International School Australia. Reporting to the Campus Principal, this role oversees staff management, student pastoral care, operational efficiency, and strong engagement with boarding families.

The successful candidate is required to reside on campus. A dual room with bathroom accommodation will be provided.

Key Responsibilities
  • 1. PLAN AND MANAGE BOARDING HOUSE STAFF
    • Provide daily leadership and management of boarding house staff to ensure a high standard of service.
    • Coordinate staff rostering, including relief staffing, and liaise with academic support staff.
    • Assist in the recruitment, induction, and ongoing development of boarding staff.
    • Ensure all staff possess the required qualifications, skills, and training.
    • Liaise with Health Centre, Kitchen, Laundry, and other support teams to meet students’ daily, dietary, and health needs.
    • Foster a supportive, caring, and collaborative working culture.
  • 2. MANAGE BOARDING PASTORAL CARE AND WELLBEING
    • Liaise with parents regarding individual student progress and wellbeing.
    • Support Housemothers in managing behavioural matters.
    • Embed positive educational and wellbeing activities into daily boarding routines.
    • Oversee all student leave, travel, and holiday arrangements.
    • Initiate, develop, and manage Boarding House programmes aligned with school wellbeing philosophies.
  • 3. PROVIDE EFFECTIVE AND EFFICIENT OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT
    • Ensure smooth and efficient day‑to‑day boarding house operations.
    • Liaise with maintenance, grounds, and cleaning contractors as required.
    • Work closely with school administration to ensure clear and consistent communication.
    • Manage boarding policies, procedures, and processes in line with school guidelines.
    • Ensure compliance with workplace health, safety, and risk management requirements.
  • 4. BOARDING COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with current, prospective, and past boarding families.
    • Act as the first point of contact for parent enquiries and concerns.
    • Prepare and coordinate regular parent communications with the Campus Principal.
    • Support and participate in boarding and school events, including open days, orientations, tours, and information sessions.
    • Promote positive relationships between staff, students, and boarding families.
  • 5. OTHER DUTIES
    • Actively participate in professional development opportunities.
    • Undertake other duties as directed by the Campus Principal.
