Overview

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician (Mechanical) to join our growing team in Kepong, Kuala Lumpur. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for overseeing the mechanical engineering operations and providing technical expertise to ensure the smooth and efficient running of our noodle production facilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on mechanical systems (e.g., flour mixer, pressing roller, slitter machine, steamer, chain conveyor) to minimize downtime.
• Experienced in welding.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults in production equipment, including hydraulic/pneumatic systems, motors, and gearboxes.
• Conduct inspections and lubrication of machinery to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with the production team to prioritize maintenance tasks and reduce disruptions.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, spare parts usage, and equipment conditions.
• Adhere to safety protocols (GMP, HACCP) and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Assist in installing new equipment and optimizing existing machinery for efficiency.
• Participate in root-cause analysis to address recurring mechanical issues.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field.
• Minimum 2-3 years of hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in FMCG/food manufacturing.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Proficiency in repairing industrial machinery (e.g., pumps, motors, conveyor systems).
• Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and engineering drawings.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with knowledge of preventive maintenance practices.
• OSHA knowledge and certification is an advantage.
