Responsibilities include executing maintenance works, ensuring equipment functionality, and managing spare parts inventory. This role is essential for maintaining operational efficiency and safety.

Qualifications

Summary

The Maintenance Technician shall work closely with Maintenance Supervisor and Executive to execute maintenance works which includes troubleshooting, repairing, servicing and planned preventive maintenance of plant machinery, utilities and building facilities

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• PLC Control is required.
• To execute maintenance works including troubleshooting, repairing, preventive maintenance, test run and servicing of plant machineries, equipment and facilities.
• To work towards zero breakdowns by effectively carrying out the Preventive Maintenance Program (TPM) in collaboration with Production employees.
• To make a routine check on machines and equipment to ensure machines and equipment are working in good condition.
• To troubleshoot and recommend a solution to electrical or electronics problems and if necessary, repair the fault.
• To plan for necessary spare parts for critical items and to maintain the spare parts inventory.
• To carry out plant improvement projects, repairs, maintenance, and fabrication work as part of continuous improvement activities with safety as a priority.

Job Requirements

• Possesses Certificate/Diploma in the Electrical/Electronics field or any equivalent vocational or technical institutions.
• Chargeman is an advantage.
• Appropriate electrical training or certified qualification in the electrical field is an added advantage.
• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience in maintenance and troubleshooting role on electrical components in a manufacturing environment preferably in the flexible plastic packaging industry.
• Ability to implement an effective Preventive Maintenance Program and provide basic electrical‑related training to Production employees.
• Have knowledge and experience in planning and controlling spare parts inventory.
• Ability to do wiring, testing, connecting, and commissioning control panel from a schematic drawing.
• Have knowledge in the pneumatic and hydraulic system.
• Able to read an Electrical Diagram is required.
