Job summary

A manufacturing company in Kedah is seeking a Maintenance Manager to ensure maximum efficiency of facilities and machinery. Responsibilities include managing maintenance activities, implementing preventive maintenance, and leading a team. Candidates should have a degree in engineering and at least 10 years of relevant experience. Strong knowledge of APQP and lean manufacturing practices is required. Qualifications

Overview

Our clients provides full in-house printing & packaging for various industries.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure facilities, layout, and machinery operate at maximum efficiency and output.
  • Implement total preventive maintenance and manage breakdowns (mechanical, electrical, and equipment).
  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities to detect and resolve problems.
  • Plan, schedule, and manage repair and installation activities.
  • Assign repair schedules, evaluate cost estimates, and control maintenance budgets.
  • Oversee equipment stock levels and place orders for new supplies when necessary.
  • Enforce safety policies and procedures across the department.
  • Prepare and maintain daily progress reports and maintenance logs.
  • Lead and develop the maintenance team to achieve performance objectives.
Authority
  • Approve staff leave and overtime.
  • Conduct staff performance appraisals and recommend salary increments.
Requirements
  • Degree/Diploma in Mechanical, Electronics, or related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a maintenance managerial role.
