A leading construction firm is seeking a seasoned professional to lead the Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) team for data center construction projects in Iskandar Puteri, Johor. Responsibilities include overseeing design coordination, installation, and testing to ensure compliance with technical, safety, and operational standards. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, with at least 10 years of M&E experience in the construction industry. Proficiency in English is essential, and experience in data center projects is preferred.
Lead the M&E team/ work planning and execution across all project stages.
Oversee Mechanical, ACMV, Electrical, fire protection, plumbing, UPS, Gensets, BMS, security and ICT systems.
Coordinate M&E works to ensure compliance with design, performance standards and data center requirements.
Liaise with clients, consultants, authorities and sub-contractors on technical and commercial matters.
Review drawings and resolve M&E design issues to ensure smooth site execution.
Ensure proper integration of MEP works with C&S and architectural trades.
Lead testing and commissioning of all systems and ensure readiness for handover.
Identify and mitigate M&E-related project risks to maintain safety, quality and timeline.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related field.
Minimum 10 years of M&E experience in construction industry.
Preferably a candidate who has successfully completed at least one data center project.
Strong technical knowledge in HVAC, Electrical, Fire Protection, Plumbing, ELV and BMS preferred.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong experience in BIM coordination and clash detection.
Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
Lead and manage all Mechanical and Electrical works for data center construction projects. Oversee design coordination, installation, testing and commissioning to ensure systems meet technical, safety and operational standards within schedule and budget.
