A leading construction firm is seeking a seasoned professional to lead the Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) team for data center construction projects in Iskandar Puteri, Johor. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, with at least 10 years of M&E experience in the construction industry. Proficiency in English is essential, and experience in data center projects is preferred.

Job description

Lead the M&E team/ work planning and execution across all project stages.

Oversee Mechanical, ACMV, Electrical, fire protection, plumbing, UPS, Gensets, BMS, security and ICT systems.

Coordinate M&E works to ensure compliance with design, performance standards and data center requirements.

Liaise with clients, consultants, authorities and sub-contractors on technical and commercial matters.

Review drawings and resolve M&E design issues to ensure smooth site execution.

Ensure proper integration of MEP works with C&S and architectural trades.

Lead testing and commissioning of all systems and ensure readiness for handover.

Identify and mitigate M&E-related project risks to maintain safety, quality and timeline.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related field.

Minimum 10 years of M&E experience in construction industry.

Preferably a candidate who has successfully completed at least one data center project.

Strong technical knowledge in HVAC, Electrical, Fire Protection, Plumbing, ELV and BMS preferred.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Strong experience in BIM coordination and clash detection.

Proficient in English, both written and spoken.

• Willing to be based in Iskandar Puteri, Johor.
