Job summary

A logistics management company in Malaysia is seeking a candidate responsible for coordinating import and export shipping processes. The successful applicant will negotiate freight charges, collaborate with internal departments, and ensure proper documentation is completed. Ideal candidates will have a Diploma or Degree in relevant fields and at least 3 years of experience in Supply Chain or Logistics, alongside knowledge of quality management standards.

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of relevant working experience in Supply Chain or Logistics.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 / EN ISO 13485 standards.
  • Experience in handling import and export matters.

Responsibilities

  • Manage local/import and export shipping processes.
  • Negotiate freight charges with forwarders.
  • Coordinate booking and delivery with freight forwarders.
  • Ensure timely completion of documentation.

Job description
Responsibilities
  • a) Responsible in handling local / import and export matters to ensure an efficient shipping process.
  • b) Responsible in sourcing, evaluating and negotiating on freight charges with forwarder.
  • c) To support the Sales & Marketing department in calculating freight quotation.
  • d) Coordinates with freight forwarders on booking (LCL/FCL), booking confirmation, collection, delivery container, custom clearance, import duty and the required documentation.
  • e) Coordinates with internal department to ensure the commercial invoice and packing list is completed.
  • f) Corresponding with forwarder regarding shipment status.
  • g) Coordinates with Accounts department regarding shipping documents.
  • h) Ensuring filing of documentation is completed properly according to reference number.
  • i) To perform ad-hoc duties as assigned by Superior / Management from time to time.
  • j) Implement and maintain QMS, in accordance to ISO 9001 / EN ISO 13485.
Qualifications and Academic Requirement
  • a) Primary / Secondary / Diploma / Degree in Business Studies / Administration / Management / Logistic / Transportation or equivalent with at least 3 years of relevant working experience in Supply Chain/ Logistics.
