Job description

MFAS Resources is looking for a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our kitchen team in Kuala Lumpur. The ideal candidate is passionate about food preparation, has experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment, and is committed to maintaining high standards of hygiene and food quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare food from raw ingredients to finished dishes, following recipes and SOPs.
  • Set up cooking stations and prepare mise en place as instructed.
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness, including equipment, cookware, and utensils.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock counts.
  • Order fresh produce and dry goods for kitchen use.
  • Assist in controlling food costs and reducing waste.
  • Guide and support junior kitchen staff to ensure efficient operations.
  • Report maintenance issues promptly to the appropriate personnel.
  • Collaborate with kitchen leaders to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
  • Foster positive working relationships with colleagues and other departments.
Requirements
  • Education: SPM or equivalent; F&B certification is an advantage.
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year in a similar role (Commis or equivalent) in the F&B industry.
  • Fluent in Malay language.
  • Able to mentor and guide new staff effectively.
  • Strong understanding of kitchen hygiene and food safety standards.
