We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Legal Counsel to join our legal team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing legal support to our operations, with a specific focus on navigating the complex legal and regulatory landscape of the healthcare industry in Malaysia. This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified lawyer or a legal professional with up to a few years of experience to gain valuable in-house experience and contribute to a company dedicated to improving healthcare services.
Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate various commercial agreements, including vendor contracts, service agreements, and partnership agreements, ensuring compliance with legal and company standards.
Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and ensure the company\'s adherence to all relevant Malaysian healthcare laws and regulations, such as the Private Healthcare Facilities and Services Act 1998, the Medical Act 1971, and the National Pharmaceutical Regulatory Agency (NPRA).
Legal Advisory: Provide timely and accurate legal advice to internal departments on a wide range of issues, including data privacy (e.g., Personal Data Protection Act 2010), intellectual property, and employment law.
Legal Research: Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on new and evolving healthcare-related legislation and case law to inform business decisions and mitigate risks.
Dispute Resolution: Assist senior legal counsel in managing litigation, disputes, and other contentious matters, including liaison with external legal firms.
Corporate Governance: Support the legal team in maintaining proper corporate governance practices and preparing company secretarial documents.
Policy Development: Contribute to the development and implementation of internal legal policies and procedures to ensure a strong compliance framework.
Education: Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from a recognized university.
Experience: 0-3 years of post-qualification experience (PQE), with a preference for candidates who have experience in corporate, commercial, or healthcare-related legal matters.
Admission to the Bar: Admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya.
