Responsibilities

• Provide broad legal support for business activities across Southeast Asia, including reviewing, drafting, and negotiating legal documentation
• Advise and lead on day-to-day legal matters affecting the business
• Support and champion compliance with internal policies, external laws, and statutory requirements
• Prepare, maintain, and update precedent legal documentation
• Monitor legislation and regulatory developments relevant to the company's operations and products
• Interpret regulations and policies and provide recommendations to internal stakeholders
• Identify opportunities to enhance legal frameworks and promote consistency in legal approaches across the organisation

Requirements

• Qualified lawyer based in Malaysia with 5-10 years' post-qualification experience from a reputable law firm
• Strong exposure to corporate and commercial matters; experience in technology, data protection, and regulatory issues is advantageous
• Prior in-house and regional experience is highly desirable
• Strong technical skills and solid understanding of corporate law
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and commercial acumen
• Hard-working, proactive, and motivated individual capable of managing multiple stakeholders and projects
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
