Job description
Responsibilities
  • This position requires commitment to teaching, student supervision, research & scholarly activities and contribution to programme administration and management.
  • Contribute to research and development projects, materials and curriculum/syllabi development for teaching purposes; such research projects and materials and curriculum/syllabi may be copyrighted. All copyrights belong to the Company.
  • Contribute and publish at least one (1) international publication in one year.
  • You shall supervise ten (10) students.
  • Perform relevant administrative tasks as and when required.
  • Counsel students on their academic and career.
  • Conduct public seminars on contemporary issues if necessary.
  • Upgrade the department both qualitatively and quantitatively.
  • Involved in some major public exhibitions, open days and roadshows should you be required.
  • Be responsible for all the projects/assignments given to you. The projects/assignments would require you to teach, prepare lecture notes, prepare reports for your superior(s) and other responsibilities as a lecturer.
  • Invigilate examinations scheduled on weekdays, rest days or public holidays.
  • Set and mark all examination scripts including supplementary examination papers.
  • Involvement in marketing-related activities including education fairs, open days, and school talks that might require travelling.
  • Involvement in bringing industrial speakers to the classroom and organising industrial visits when necessary.
Qualifications
  • Ph.D. or Master holder in Clinical Pharmacy.
  • Must be a Registered Pharmacist.
  • Minimum 4 - 6 years teaching experience, for Master holder must be more than 10 years teaching experience.
  • Minimum Scopus/WoS H-index : 2
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Pro-active and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently as well as participate within the team.
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, possess a mature attitude and be a good team player.
