A retail management company seeks a skilled leasing officer in Kuala Lumpur. The role includes preparing lease offers, monitoring tenancy renewals, and generating leasing leads. The ideal candidate has a degree in marketing/business and 3-4 years in retail leasing. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong interpersonal skills are essential. Knowledge of the Malaysian retail market is preferred. This position is based at the AEON Taman Maluri headquarters.
Prepare letter of offer and management reports as well as documents with regards to lease transactions.
Monitor tenancy renewal and necessarily follow up on payments.
Establish and maintain good landlord-tenant relationship. Resolve any tenants' concerns and issues soonest possible in interest for betterment of the mall.
Generate leasing leads and negotiate deals from initiation to final execution.
Research and report on competitive leasing trends in the industry.
Liaise closely with inter-departments on matters pertaining to rental and deposit collection, fit‑out, operations and insurance as well as monitor and analyze tenants' sales and overall performance.
Conduct market research on Shopping Centre in order to keep abreast of retail property development in the market.
Aid in planning and implementing the tenancy mix in a retail mall.
Sourcing for potential prospects and attend to enquiry.
Identify and short‑list suitable tenants and retail concepts for the mall. Initiate discussion with potential tenants, negotiate the lease and finalize rental and other terms and conditions. Ensure tenants adhere to the lease terms. Follow up through execution to the opening of store.
Candidate must possess at least a Degree or Diploma in Marketing/Business Studies/Estate Management or relevant field.
Minimum 3 to 4 years’ experience within property sales and marketing environment especially in the leasing of retail lots.
Possess excellent interpersonal skills with good command of written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia. Mandarin is added advantage.
Computer literate with strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Strong report writing and presentation skills.
Efficient, accurate with details and with strong analytical skills.
Self‑motivated and able to work under pressure with tight deadlines.
Good working knowledge of Malaysian Retail Market is an added advantage.
The candidate must be able to work in AEON Taman Maluri, Headquarter Office in Cheras.
