Job description
Responsibilities
  • As a Lease Analyst you will communicate with the users of Lucernex, the negotiators of lease agreements, work with finance personnel regionally to help train the new accounting standard, and to develop internal documentation related to controls, as well as, future state processes. You will be reporting to Manager, Fixed Assets and Leasing APAC.

  • Help with project related implementation tasks including, but not limited to, the standardization of lease reports, defining and documenting controls over the new process, creating user/system documentation, and liaising with the PPG finance network to ensure all data required to complete integrations are gathered;

  • Run monthly journal entry integration files out of Lucernex for global lease population and troubleshoot issues as required;

  • Prepare accounting assumptions for new leases to ensure proper measurement of ROU asset and ROU liability accounts;

  • Monitor new acquisitions and dispositions and take appropriate action to capture organizational changes related to leases;

  • Identify problems, bottlenecks, and obstacles and identify and implement logical solutions; otherwise, bring the issues to the team leads;

  • Effectively communicate in a team setting to provide timely and succinct feedback;

  • Help with internal/external audit ad-hoc requests;

  • Collaborate with the other functional leads, the system consultants, and abstraction consultants as needed

  • Prepare monthly budget analysis and journal entries for the Asia Leasing team.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree

  • At least 3 years accounting or finance experience. General Ledger or Fixed Asset

  • Previous experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, QAD

  • Previous experience with accounting consolidation tools such as HFM

  • Fluent in English & Mandarin

  • Work with large volumes of data; sort, filter, pivot, summarize, or error check.

  • Run basic queries over the data sets to extract information

  • Understand the underlying data structures and linkages within sub-set of data

  • Working knowledge of key PPG Finance policies and procedures

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills

  • Demonstrated initiative, good judgment, and ability to achieve results
