About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Security Engineer to strengthen the cybersecurity posture of a leading financial institution. This role plays a critical part in managing cloud and hybrid environments, implementing Zero Trust Architecture, and ensuring adherence to industry security and compliance frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and manage cloud-native security controls such as Azure NSGs, AWS Security Groups, and firewall policies.

• Oversee secure connectivity between cloud and on-premises environments, including VPN, ExpressRoute, and Direct Connect.

• Investigate and respond to cloud-based security alerts using tools like Microsoft Defender, AWS GuardDuty, and Azure Sentinel.

• Support Zero Trust and SASE/ZTNA initiatives, enhancing access control and perimeter security.

• Implement endpoint protection for cloud workloads using Defender for Endpoint or CrowdStrike.

• Manage Microsoft 365 security projects across Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams.

• Maintain security visibility and compliance reporting in line with standards such as PCI DSS, BNM RMiT, and MAS TRM.

• Provide expert input on cloud security for adoption and migration projects.

• Mentor junior engineers and improve existing cloud security processes and documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or a related field.

• Minimum 7 years’ experience in cloud network security or cloud security operations.

• Strong experience in Azure, AWS, or hybrid cloud environments.

• Familiarity with cloud security frameworks such as CIS, NIST, and ISO 27001.

• Hands‑on experience implementing Zero Trust Architecture and endpoint protection.

• Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 security controls and configurations.

• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
