Job summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Barista to drive our coffee quality, mentor our team, and elevate the customer experience at our beloved local café.

The Role: What You'll Be Doing

As our Lead Barista, you are the technical expert and the team's mentor. Your primary responsibilities will include:

Quality & Training Leader: Setting the benchmark for all coffee preparation, leading daily quality checks, and conducting hands‑on training on espresso calibration, latte art, and advanced brewing methods.

Team Leadership: Supervising daily shifts, assigning tasks, ensuring efficient workflow, and maintaining a positive, energetic team culture.

Operational Management: Assisting with shift changes, cash handling, inventory management, and ensuring the café space remains clean, compliant, and well‑stocked.

Customer Experience: Leading by example to resolve customer concerns and fostering a welcoming, high‑energy atmosphere.

Qualifications: What You Need to Bring

Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a senior barista or shift lead in a high‑volume café.

Coffee Expertise: Deep, verifiable knowledge of coffee theory, extraction science, and machine maintenance.

Leadership Skills: Proven ability to coach, motivate, and maintain high standards of performance.

Reliability: Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills, especially under pressure.
