Frontend Developer

This position is to be part of a Tribe within Pickles as a Frontend Developer primarily working in maintaining our existing web applications. This will include delivering features, enhancements, and bug fixes while troubleshooting any issues that occur in production and lower environments.

Backend Developer

This position is to be part of a Tribe within Pickles as a Backend Developer primarily working on maintaining our existing web applications. This will include delivering features, enhancements, and bug fixes while troubleshooting any issues that occur in production and lower environments.

Experience and Knowledge
  • Possess 1-3 years of relevant working experience in software development specifically in web applications using frameworks such as Angular and React. Experience with Typescript is a plus.
  • Experience in building HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript components as part of the Pickles Design System.
  • Knowledge of fundamental web UI/UX design behavior principles & ability to work well with interface UX designers.
  • Experienced in working with backend APIs (REST, GraphQL, WebSockets).
  • Familiar with the DevOps way of work using CI/CD pipelines.
  • Good understanding of common development tools such as Git, Postman, Swagger, etc.
  • Able to write good quality unit tests and adopt test-driven development as part of the development workflow.
  • Must have good problem‑solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, able to collaborate with team members in different regions.
Responsibilities
  • Function as a team member of a Tribe within Pickles, participating in daily stand‑ups and delivering on tasks for each sprint.
  • Tasks will consist of the development of features, enhancements, bug fixes, and unit tests.
  • Troubleshooting issues occurring in the existing production environment and working with the team to identify root causes.
  • Ensure submitted code is implemented according to coding guidelines, and quality gate checks along with peer reviews.
  • Analysis of functional and non‑functional requirements providing the relevant estimates required for implementation.
  • Participation in relevant Center of Excellence (CoE) to connect and collaborate with the wider community of engineers in Pickles.
