Job summary

A healthcare company based in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia is looking for an individual to report directly to the Senior Manager, Finance. You will assist in reviewing employee expense claims, ensure proper documentation, support month-end closing, and perform various accounting-related tasks. The ideal candidate needs to hold a degree in Accounting or Finance, have strong attention to detail, and be proficient in Microsoft Excel to succeed in this role.

Job description

Report directly to Senior Manager, Finance and assist in reviewing employee expense claims, vendor payments, posting transactions to journals and ledgers, and collaborating with accountants on various accounting-related tasks. Additionally, you will contribute to data entry efforts in the ERP/accounting system and assist with administrative tasks.

Review employee expense claims for accuracy and adherence to company policies and guidelines.

Verify supporting documentation and receipts for expense claims.

Ensure timely processing and reimbursement of approved expenses.

Assist in posting financial transactions to journals and ledgers accurately and in a timely manner.

Ensure proper documentation and filing of transaction records.

Collaborate with accountants to support month-end closing procedures.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation.

Provide necessary information and support during audit processes.

Support the accounting team with various administrative duties, including filing, scanning, and organizing documents.

Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Company.

Job Specification:

Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software is preferred.

Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Good verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
