Job summary

A multinational business services firm based in Petaling Jaya is seeking a Japanese Speaker Finance Analyst. This role involves ensuring accurate financial processing, collaborating with internal teams, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards. Candidates should possess a degree in accounting and 2-3 years of finance experience, with proficiency in Japanese (JLPT N2/N1). Excellent communication and analytical skills are essential. Qualifications

  • 2 - 3 years of experience in accounting/finance functions.
  • Experience in audit and tax is an added advantage.
  • Native speaker / Korean: TOPIK 5/6; Japanese: JLPT N2/N1.

Job description
Japanese Speaker | Finance Analyst - RTR (GL and Reporting)
Responsibilities
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness in processing general ledger entries, fixed assets transactions, banking transactions, financial and management reporting, accounts reconciliation, statutory audit and tax computation (both direct and indirect) in accordance with WPP policies and procedures, local accounting standards and requirements, and SLAs.
  • Work closely with WPP Operating Units (OpCo) Finance to understand current activities and ensure all changes are reflected in financial statements.
  • Collaborate with OpCo to clear aged balance sheet items. Regularly track and resolve outstanding issues and escalate to relevant parties as necessary.
  • Liaise with internal/external stakeholders as required. Ensure service level agreements (SLA) and monthly performance and productivity KPIs are met.
  • Maintain ownership for internal controls related to RTR processes.
  • Proactively identify, propose and implement continuous process improvement opportunities in existing processes within the team.
  • Participate in continuous process improvement projects and plans.
  • Involvement in ad hoc activities or projects.
  • Perform review work on analysts. Conduct knowledge transfer with new joiners.
  • Work independently within guidelines and policies, and provide guidance to colleagues with less experience.
  • Act as a resource for colleagues and provide functional guidance.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting or related field, and/or professional accounting qualification (ACCA/CPA/MIA etc.).
  • 2 - 3 years of experience in accounting/finance functions.
  • Experience in audit and tax is an added advantage.
  • Having supervisory experience is an added advantage.
  • Exposure to a multinational company working environment and Consolidated Group Accounts is an added advantage.
  • Native speaker / Korean: TOPIK 5/6; Japanese: JLPT N2/N1.
Key Competencies
  • Good communication skills and ability to communicate effectively in English.
  • Knowledge of financial accounting principles, processes and accounting standards such as IFRS.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
