Overview

The IT Application Support Engineer (Front End Core Systems) is responsible for managing the Branch related systems, Payment Gateway systems, Reporting systems and related interfaced application systems. This role reports to the Team Lead for the Front End Core System team.

Key Responsibilities

• To provide support to business applications-related functions such as user requirement study/analysis, system design, applications development, implementation and production support.
• To plan, coordinate and control resources for business applications development and production support.
• Participate in user requirement & feasibility study, evaluation and recommendation of business & technical solutions.

Project Management

• Liaise with PMO on related projects.
• Liaise with vendors on related projects.
• Planning, controlling and scheduling of resources.

Other Responsibilities

• To support application batch run activity if any arising issue.
• To coordinate, discuss and facilitate vendor on production support issues.

Jobholder Requirements

Education/Qualification

• Malaysian citizen
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

Experience & Skillsets

• More than 4 years of working experience with similar apps support is an advantage.
• Preferred programming languages: Java, Jasper Reporting, Linux/Windows batch scripting, SSIS
• Possess working knowledge of the following:
• Proficient at MSSQL, MYSQL
• Application troubleshooting skills
• Basic scripting command in Linux and Window
