Job summary

A reputable company in Malaysia is seeking an Inventory Executive responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records through regular stock counts and audits. The role involves evaluating compliance with policies, processing requests from retail shops, and preparing audit reports. Candidates should possess a Diploma/Degree in Business and have at least 1 year of experience in internal audit or similar fields. This position also requires strong analytical skills and the ability to work collaboratively with store personnel.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of working experience in internal audit, risk management, compliance or external audit firms.
  • Willing to travel outstation for stock audit.
  • Capable of handling enquiries professionally.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular stock count across retail shops.
  • Evaluate compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
  • Process CN/PV requests submitted by retail shops.
  • Facilitate and coordinate scheduled and ad-hoc stock counts at retail outlets.
  • Analyze stock variance reports and highlight discrepancies or operational issues.
  • Monitor inventory movements, including stock transfers and service stocks.
  • Process approved stock adjustments in ERP system to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Prepare clear and insightful audit reports for management review.
  • Support weekly and monthly reporting for the division.
  • Collaborate with store teams to ensure operational excellence.
  • Perform any other duties assigned to meet retail and audit objectives.

You will play a critical part in identifying discrepancies, ensuring compliance with internal control procedures, and maintaining the integrity of inventory data across all outlets. You will also support the finance team with adjustments and system updates and may be required to travel for audit activities.
