A leading property development company in Malaysia is seeking an experienced professional to oversee interior architecture projects from concept to completion. The ideal candidate will have a degree in architecture or related fields, with 2-3 years of experience in consultancy or property development. Strong design sense, attention to detail, and proficiency in relevant software are crucial. Communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin, and English are essential, as is the ability to work in a team and travel for site inspections.
Oversee interior architecture projects sales gallery/show units from concept to completion, ensuring they meet design standards, budget, and timeline.
Involve in planning and coordination from concept design, space planning, materials selection to construction and handover.
Develop and review design proposals that meet market needs and project requirements.
Check detailed drawings, materials, and specifications.
Ensure designs are functional, visually appealing, and comply with codes and regulations.
Work closely with architects, engineers, interior designers, landscape teams, and other consultants for overall design alignment.
Attend client, consultant, and authority meetings to maintain design intent throughout the project.
Coordinate with contractors and internal teams (e.g., QS) on materials, specifications, and technical issues.
Prepare reports and ensure all parties are updated on project progress.
Review layout and design details to ensure practicality, cost effectiveness, and good user experience.
Conduct site inspections to check work quality and resolve design issues.
Ensure construction follows approved drawings and standards.
Keep updated with design trends, technology, and best practices.
Apply sustainable and innovative solutions in projects.
Carry out research to support design decisions.
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, Interior Design, or equivalent (LAM Part II qualification is an added advantage).
Minimum 2–3 years of working experience in consultancy or property development, preferably involving high‑rise, mixed development, landed, or township projects.
Strong design sense with attention to detail, creativity, and practicality.
Good attitude, proactive personality, and willingness to learn and grow with the company.
Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin, and English to effectively communicate with our diverse client base and stakeholders.
Required software skills: Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Enscape, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and MS Office.
Strong team player; willing to travel to attend coordination meetings and site inspections.
Perform any other tasks or assignments as required by the superior.
