Job summary

Qualifications

What will you do?

As an Inspector of Works (Electrical) at Aurecon, you will be responsible for ensuring that electrical works on-site are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and safety standards. You will support the Resident Engineer and project team in delivering high-quality outcomes.

  • Monitoring daily electrical construction activities and ensuring compliance with technical drawings and specifications.
  • Conducting site inspections and quality checks on electrical installations.
  • Reviewing electrical drawings and method statements; reporting discrepancies.
  • Attending inspections and testing activities and documenting results.
  • Issuing site memos for non-compliant works.
  • Supporting monthly progress claim verification and variation orders.
  • Maintaining accurate records of inspections, site activities, and progress.
  • Attending site meetings and coordinating with contractors and consultants.
  • Holding a valid driving license for site mobility.

What can you bring to the team?

  • A diploma in Electrical Engineering and registration as an Inspector of Works with BEM.
  • At least 5 years of experience in electrical supervision, particularly in industrial or institutional developments.
  • Good knowledge of electrical systems, data centre infrastructure, and local construction practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; AutoCAD and BIM knowledge preferred.
  • Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
  • A valid driving license.
