Job summary

A construction firm in Johor Bahru is seeking an experienced IOW to monitor quality inspections on architectural finishes. The candidate will assist contractors, prepare progress reports, and manage multiple tasks. A degree in Architecture and a minimum of 5 years of experience in construction projects are required. Candidates must have strong technical skills in AutoCAD, excellent problem-solving abilities, and familiarity with local building codes. Job description

Monitor and conduct quality inspections on architectural finishes and landscape elements and ensures compliance with the contract specifications and drawings, current legislation and standard policy.

To assist, instruct and advise contractors on site, quality control and the interpretation of contract documents.

To prepare progress reports, site activities and all other related matters.

To identify all remedial / outstanding works to be carried out and to ensure that works are carried out within the stipulated time.

To regularly report to relevant superiors on the progress works and issues encountered.

To keep all relevant forms, documents, correspondence and records in respect of the progress works.

To attend all site and technical meetings as directed and when necessary.

All other duties as and when assigned by the superior or management.

Requirements

Degree/Diploma in Architecture or related field

Minimum 5 years of experience as an IOW with a focus on construction projects

Strong technical skills in AutoCAD or any other tools.

Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and decision-making abilities.

Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross functional teams.

Familiarity with local building codes, regulations and construction standards.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
