A global engineering firm based in Penang is seeking an Import & Export Executive to oversee shipping activities, coordinate with vendors, and ensure compliance with regulations. Job description

The Import & Export Executive is responsible for facilitating and coordinating activities of import & export materials and finish goods.He/ She will be compiling & generate LMW custom report related to the receiving raw material, sub-contractor & shipping goods.

What you will do:

Oversee General Shipping Activities.

Responsible for Customer Setup, Customer Selling Price Setup & Cross Reference Setup in system.

Responsible for updating the Harmonized Tariff Code, Shipping term & Country of Origin in system.

Setup Drop Shipments and Special Shipping Notes of requirements from customers.

Responsible for liaising with vendors & inter-companies for inbound shipment tracking.

Responsible for liaising with customers & inter-companies for outbound shipment tracking.

Assistant to the Freight Forwarder and Customs Clearance.

Direct and coordinate with planning to ensure that orders are fulfilled, complete, and ready to be shipped out.

Process and handle pick shipping & ship confirm posting, proforma invoicing, packing list & delivery note.

Resolve issues with shipping orders.

Manage customer return (RMA) and supplier return (RTV).

Manage Credit Hold triggering.

Coordinate with planner for month end or quarter end shipment cut-off date.

Overseas and develop strategies that improve shipping procedures.

Work closely with the Logistic Manager for LMW custom reporting.

Interact with Purchasing and Planning, Quality Control, and Finance.

Other duties as required and assigned by supervisor.

We are looking for:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

3-5 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience in handling, managing and dealing with government officials of all levels.

Must be well verse with all government regulations, requirements, procedures and process such as Customs, MITI and etc.

Proficient in MS Office applications.

Excellent working knowledge of supply chain management and inventory management with Lean manufacturing management principles.

Experience in MRP operating environment, experience in Microsoft Navision is a plus.
