Job description

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain IBS technical standards, guidelines, and best practices.
• Lead the technical solution design for DAS, small cells, fiber-to-floor systems, and multi-operator infrastructure.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and integrate them into IBS strategy.
• Oversee outsourced IBS projects from design and build through to commissioning.
• Ensure all IBS deployments (including outsourced) comply with MNO, regulatory, and OCK standards.
• Conduct audits, inspections, and performance reviews of outsourced projects.
• Provide technical input and solution options during client engagements with the Senior IBS Manager.
• Advise on feasibility, risks, and alternative technical approaches for proposed commercial deals.
• Establish and monitor KPIs for technical delivery, network performance, and project compliance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution.
• Manage technical aspects of relationships with MNOs, equipment vendors, system integrators, and contractors.
• Recommend technical improvements or alternative solutions to optimise cost, quality, and performance.
• Lead and mentor the internal IBS technical team, ensuring alignment between internal teams and outsourced resources.
• Promote a culture of technical excellence, accountability, and continuous learning.

Qualifications

• 6–8 years of experience in telecommunications, with at least 5 years in IBS, DAS, or small cell technical roles.
• Proven experience in managing outsourced technical teams or vendors.
• Strong technical knowledge of indoor coverage systems, RF planning, fiber infrastructure, and multi-operator integration.
• Experience ensuring compliance with MNO and regulatory standards.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills, including multi-disciplinary team coordination.
• Ability to translate technical requirements into commercial outcomes.
• Leadership capability to mentor internal and outsourced technical resources.
• Effective communication skills to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
