Job summary

A leading administrative services provider in Malaysia is seeking an experienced corporate secretary to manage client relationships and ensure statutory compliance. With over 10 years of required experience, candidates must possess a CGI qualification and be familiar with Malaysian corporate governance laws. This role demands excellent organizational and communication skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia, with an emphasis on teamwork and the ability to work independently under pressure.

Qualifications

  • Possess CGI (ICSA) Qualification and is a member of MAICSA.
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience, preferably in professional firms/private limited/public listed companies' experience.
  • Must be familiar with Companies Act 2016, Listing Requirements, Malaysia Code on Corporate Governance, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, managing client service and building strong relationships.
  • Handle all aspects of corporate secretarial duties and ensure statutory compliance.
  • Deliver high-quality corporate secretarial services to clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Supervise and manage team members while monitoring turnaround times.
  • Train staff to enable them to perform their roles effectively.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies such as Companies Commission of Malaysia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Groom,coach,andtrainstafftoenablethemtoperformtheirroleseffectivelyandefficiently.
  • Identifyteammembers’strengthsandweaknessesandworkwiththemtodevelopcompetencies.

Job Requirements
  • PossessCGI(ICSA)QualificationandisamemberofMAICSA.
  • Atleast10yearsofrelevantexperience,preferablyinprofessionalfirms/privatelimited/publiclistedcompanies’experience.
  • MustbefamiliarwithCompaniesAct2016,ListingRequirements,MalaysiaCodeonCorporateGovernance,etc.
  • Goodorganizationalskillsinrelationtodocumentationandworkprocesses.
  • Possessesastrongsenseofresponsibility,positivedisposition,initiative,highintegrityandabletoworkunderstrictdeadlines.
  • Goodinterpersonalskills,teamplayer,yetabletoworkindependentlyinafast-pacedenvironment.
  • GoodcommunicationskillsinEnglishandBahasaMalaysia;Mandarinproficiencyisanaddedadvantage
