Senior Human Resource Executive (Payroll & HR Operations)

We are seeking a Senior Human Resource Executive with strong expertise in payroll administration and HR operations to support the organization in ensuring accurate payroll processing, statutory compliance, and effective HR service delivery across the business.

Role Overview

The Senior Human Resource Executive will be responsible for managing end-to-end payroll processes while supporting broader HR operational functions. This role requires a high level of accuracy, confidentiality, and professionalism, as well as the ability to work closely with internal stakeholders and external authorities.

Key Responsibilities
Payroll Administration & Statutory Compliance

Manage full payroll processing for the Company and subsidiaries, including basic salary, incentives, overtime, allowances, claims, bonuses, deductions, and statutory contributions.

Ensure payroll accuracy and compliance with all applicable statutory and regulatory requirements (e.g. EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB).

Handle payroll adjustments including pro-ration, back payments, and recovery arising from staff movement, new hires, resignations, and terminations.

Prepare and process off-cycle payroll and GIRO payments, reimbursements, and ad-hoc payments.

Prepare monthly payroll reports and annual statutory submissions, including Borang EA and Borang E.

Act as payroll checker and provide backup support to ensure continuity of payroll operations.

HR Systems & Process Improvement

Serve as administrator for HR systems including HRIS, time attendance, and other HR applications.

Maintain data accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality across all HR systems.

Identify and implement process improvements to enhance payroll efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.

Employee & Stakeholder Management

Act as the primary point of contact for employee payroll enquiries and provide timely, professional resolution.

Liaise with internal stakeholders across HQ, business units, and subsidiaries on payroll and HR operational matters.

Coordinate with external vendors, auditors, and government bodies to address payroll, statutory, and system-related matters.

Communicate effectively in Mandarin with relevant stakeholders where required.

General HR Operations

Support day-to-day HR operations and departmental initiatives as assigned.

Participate in HR meetings, audits, and continuous improvement activities.

Requirements
Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent.

Minimum 2 years of HR experience, with strong hands-on exposure in payroll processing.

In-depth knowledge of Malaysian employment laws, payroll regulations, and statutory compliance.

Payroll certification or professional designation is an added advantage.

Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.

Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

High standard of confidentiality and professional integrity.

Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.

Proficient in payroll systems, HRIS, and Microsoft Office (particularly Excel).

Ability to converse in Mandarin to support business and stakeholder needs.
