Job summary

A leading food processing company located in Merlimau, Malaysia, is seeking a Human Resource professional to oversee HR operations and recruitment. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Human Resource Management, with at least 2 years of experience, preferably in the food industry. Responsibilities include managing employee relations, calculating payroll, and ensuring compliance with local regulations. This role demands independence, resourcefulness, and the ability to work under pressure.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Human Resource Management.
  • Experience in the food industry is preferred.
  • Willing to travel and work long hours.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and control general human resource and administration affairs.
  • Plan and manage recruitment activities.
  • Assist in employee relations matters.
  • Manage HR Operations budget.
  • Calculate and compute payroll activities.

Job description
Responsibilities
  • Maintain and control general human resource and administration affairs
  • Plan and manage recruitment activities to ensure adequate manpower supply
  • Assist in issues pertaining to transfer, confirmation, resignation etc.
  • Prepare HR Operations budget
  • Manage employee relations matters
  • Conduct and manage the promotion of HR policy and procedures
  • Promote human development and training program
  • Assist in the improvement of training program and implementation
  • Assist in training program and implementation
  • Assist in training program evaluation
  • Implement of induction program, Corporate Motto program, etc
  • Assist in establishment of human development program i.e., Competency/ Ability Program etc.
  • Assist in compensation and benefit program
  • Assist in performance review program for effective implementation
  • Calculate and compute payroll activities and system as required
  • Propose and maintain benefits program such as medical, health, insurance, leaves, etc.
  • Coordinate Company programs to promote team building
  • Ensure HR related risk compliance
  • Assist in implementation compliant of current and new legal requirements
  • Liaise with relevant authorities to ensure local regulations compliances as and when required
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by Superior
Qualifications
  • Minimum Degree in Human Resource Management or any related field with 2 years experience
  • Experience in Food Industry will be an added advantage
  • Experience managing liaison with government bodies
