As a Human Resource Specialist you will be strategically minded with a strong focus on aligning HR policies and practices with business objectives. You will work closely with senior leaders and managers to ensure that the organisation’s people strategy is implemented in line with its overall strategy.
You will oversee HR operations, providing guidance to managers, use HR data to lead change and ensure the People Strategy is used as an overarching implementation tool for the wider business. As a trusted advisor you will act as a consultant to leadership on all human resources related issues.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning
- Work closely with business stakeholders to determine current HR needs.
- Collaborate to implement objectives set by the business.
- Shape HR policies and procedures to align with organisational goals.
- Develop and implement a Management Toolkit.
Relationship Building & Influence
- Build and maintain meaningful relationships with key stakeholders.
- Act as the HR expert for people-related matters and influence decision‑making.
- Support and drive transformational organisational culture.
Data‑Driven Decision Making
- Use evidence, metrics and data to inform and drive business decisions.
- Analyse HR trends and metrics in partnership with the HRD department.
- Identify people priorities and address future workforce needs.
- Work with HRD to develop the People Strategy.
- Develop and implement the HR Strategy.
- Develop and implement a Wellbeing Strategy.
Employee Life Cycle
- Attraction & Recruitment: Collaborate with managers to define role requirements, strengthen employer branding, and ensure diverse and inclusive hiring practices.
- Onboarding: Develop onboarding programmes that promote early engagement, positive integration and clear expectations.
- Development & Growth: Partner with leadership to create learning pathways, career progression plans and mentorship initiatives.
- Performance Management: Advise managers on objective‑setting, coaching and continuous feedback to foster high performance.
- Engagement & Well being: Lead initiatives to boost morale, inclusion and holistic well being.
- Succession & Mobility: Identify high‑potential talent and facilitate succession planning and internal mobility.
- Exit & Retention Insights: Analyse exit data to identify trends, inform retention strategies and maintain alumni relationships.
Hiring
- Lead recruitment for new staff, working with HR platforms and, where appropriate, head‑hunters.
Administration
- Oversee HR administration to ensure efficient, consistent delivery in line with employment law, data protection and best practice.
- Work with BAP Finance to ensure accurate calculation and payment of salaries and taxes.
- Manage sick leave, holiday and overtime administration.
Requirements
- Candidate must possess at least Diploma/Degree in Human Resource or relevant field;
- At least 2 Year(s) of working experience in the related field (Human Resource related, Administrative work);
- Strong understanding of the Malaysian Employment Act and HR best practices.
- Experience managing Employee Share Option Scheme (ESOS) will be advantage.
- Strong hands‑on experience in recruitment, development, retention, and termination processes.
- Preferably Junior/Senior Executive specialized in Human Resources or equivalent;
- Excellent organisational and time‑management skills;
- Proficient in HR systems and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent writing, communication, interpersonal, and problem‑solving skills.
- High integrity, discretion, and ability to work independently.
