RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process monthly payroll for staff in the retail outlets, which include salary, OT, sales commissions, incentives, bonuses, benefits, taxes, and various payroll deductions, as well as maintain payroll records.
- Prepare HR related correspondence and documentation with careful attention to legal requirements and HR practices, such as employment letter, confirmation, promotion/increment, counseling warning, disciplinary letter, memo, policy, etc.
- Generate monthly payroll reports and perform reconciliation.
- Perform monthly statutory submissions to government authorities (LHDN, KWSP, SOSCO, EIS) and ensure all statutory requirements are adhered to at all times.
- Stay updated on payroll legislation, tax regulations, and prepare yearly EA forms for all employees.
- Reconcile payroll discrepancies and address employee pay-related issues.
- Update and maintain employee records, attendance, leave in the HR system, and employee personnel files from time to time.
- Work closely with the IT Programmer Team for various project rollouts related to HRIS.
- Involved in the yearly salary review exercise and year-end bonuses distribution.
- Attend to all employees’ queries on HR policies & procedures.
REQUIREMENT
- Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or Degree in Business Studies / Administration / HR Management or equivalent.
- Preferably with a minimum of 1-2 years of working experience in relevant fields or preferably in the service industry.
- An added advantage for those with working experience in QuickPay (HR2000) / HRIS.
- Knowledge of the Employment Act 1955 and the statutory requirements.
- Knowledge of tax calculations and deductions in the education sector is a plus.
- Well‑versed in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint).
- Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Mandarin is an added advantage.
- Able to multitask, meet tight deadlines, and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Meticulous & good organisational / task‑oriented / administrative skills.
