Responsibilities
  • Strategic HR Leadership: Partner with the MD and senior leaders to shape the organisation's workforce strategy, driving alignment with business goals.
  • Organisational Development & Change Management: Lead initiatives to optimise structure, enhance agility, and embed a culture of high performance.
  • Talent Management & Development: Oversee talent acquisition, succession planning, learning, and leadership development programmes to ensure a strong leadership pipeline.
  • Performance & Reward Strategy: Provide expert guidance on rewards, payroll, and performance management to drive employee engagement and accountability.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build trust and credibility with the board, executives, and operational teams to influence and drive organisational change.
Qualifications

A successful HR Director should have:

  • A degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a senior HR leadership role across both manufacturing & commercial set ups.
  • Strategic Thinker: Strong in organisational design, performance culture, talent development, and change management.
  • Influencer & Trusted Advisor: Able to navigate complex stakeholder environments with gravitas, credibility, and collaborative approach.
  • Operational Expertise: Hands‑on experience with payroll, rewards, and HR operations.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, problem‑solving, and leadership presence.
  • Union Experience: Advantageous but not essential.
  • Industry: Open; focus on leadership, influence, and strategy over sector experience.
