Job summary

A leading oil company in Malaysia is seeking an HR and Office Support professional to manage activities such as recruitment, payroll processing, and immigration matters. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or Business Administration, and 2-3 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is required, with Mandarin being an advantage. This role requires strong communication skills, professionalism, and the ability to work independently.

Job description

Handle office support and Human Resources activities for a Representative Office, including recruitment, onboarding, employee records, and offboarding.

Manage monthly payroll processing, statutory submissions, and ensure compliance with local labor regulations.

Handle and support immigration matters, including Employment Pass, Professional Visit Pass, and related applications, renewals, and cancellations.

Act as the main liaison with government authorities (e.g. Immigration Department, MIDA, SOCSO, EPF, LHDN, etc.).

Handle general administrative duties, including office administration, documentation, and coordination with external vendors.

Ensure HR policies, procedures, and employment practices comply with Malaysian labor laws.

Support management in office support and HR reporting and other ad-hoc administrative tasks as required.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

Minimum 2–3 years of relevant HR and administrative experience; experience in a Representative Office or small setup is an advantage.

Knowledge of payroll processing, employment laws, and HR best practices.

Experience in immigration and employment pass applications is highly preferred.

Strong ability to liaise with government agencies and external stakeholders.

Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia; ability to communicate in Mandarin is required.

High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

Well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.
