  • Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Law, Engineering, Safety, or related field (Master’s preferred)
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in public transport or railway sector, including at least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role
  • Strong understanding of Malaysian public transport laws, regulations, and licensing requirements
  • Proven experience in government liaison, stakeholder relations, and regulatory compliance
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills
Responsibilities
  • Lead all regulatory compliance and stakeholder management functions for EOSB’s railway operations
  • Ensure full compliance with the Land Public Transport Act 2010 and all other regulatory requirements
  • Serve as the main liaison with government agencies, ministries, and regulators (e.g., APAD, MOT, MOF, DOE)
  • Drive engagement strategies to strengthen relationships with federal and state authorities, port operators, and other stakeholders
  • Provide strategic advice to management and the Board on regulatory risks, approvals, and industry policies
  • Coordinate with the asset owner and authorities on licensing, submissions, and project alignment
  • Lead and develop the regulatory and stakeholder management team to achieve organizational objectives
