Executive Recruitment Firm, Monroe Consulting Group Malaysia's Healthcare Division is partnering with an international pharmaceutical company in hiring a Division Head to lead their established sales team. The Division Head is responsible for leading overall sales operations and driving sustainable revenue growth through strategic market execution, effective distributor management, and high-performing sales teams. This role ensures sales targets are met while upholding regulatory compliance and ethical engagement within the healthcare ecosystem.

This position will be based in Selangor, Malaysia.

Job Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Market Planning
  • Develop and execute sales strategies across prescription, OTC, and institutional channels.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to strengthen market presence and product penetration.
  • Lead sales forecasting and collaborate cross-functionally on pricing, discount structures, and distribution strategies.
  • Oversee tender management for both public and private sectors, ensuring timely and competitive submissions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, and distribution partners.
Team Leadership & Development
  • Lead, coach, and develop regional sales teams, medical representatives, and key account managers.
  • Set clear KPIs, targets, and performance standards.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, field coaching, and capability-building initiatives.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, compliance, and continuous improvement.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with Marketing on product launches, campaigns, CME activities, and inventory forecasting.
  • Provide field insights to support product lifecycle planning and strategic decision-making.
Performance Reporting
  • Review and analyze sales performance to produce monthly, quarterly, and annual business reports.
  • Utilize CRM and analytics tools to track productivity and identify growth opportunities.
  • Recommend strategic adjustments based on field feedback and market trends.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Business, or related fields.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior commercial leadership role within the pharmaceutical or healthcare sector.
  • Strong track record of leading large teams and delivering revenue growth.
  • Comprehensive understanding of healthcare sales channels, tender procedures, and distribution management.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation abilities.
