Job Summary

The Head of Maintenance is responsible for ensuring the overall safe, reliable, and effective management of the Maintenance Department at the power plant.

Job Responsibilities
  1. To manage the maintenance activities of the power plant (i.e Waste to Energy, Waste Segregation Facility and Leachate Treatment Plant) are executed in accordance with maintenance procedure and by the most cost-efficient means.
  2. Develop and approve preventive and predictive maintenance task list and maintenance schedule, in order to maintain equipment integrity.
  3. Liaise with external parties to ensure maintenance activities are supported with the correct tools, equipment, resources and procedures.
  4. Ensure proper and effective maintenance considering engineering practices, commercial aspects, safety, environmental and legal requirements.
  5. Provide maintenance engineering supports, solution and execution, in order to improve plant operation.
  6. Establish relevant documentation system to ensure effective implementation of the department's functions and achieve its expected performance.
  7. Manage the Maintenance department to meet KPIs and the daily activities in plant process.
  8. Provide recommendations to improve safety, profitability and reliability of units.
  9. Maintain a high safety and quality conscious working environment and ensure compliance with all QHSE and legislative Health & Safety and Environmental requirements.
  10. Review maintenance contracts for outsourcing services and resources.
  11. To manage the Maintenance Department team comprising the Assistant Maintenance Manager, Supervisors, and Technicians.
Job Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree or suitable technical qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  2. A minimum of 10 years’ experience in power plant maintenance, including thermal-fired power plants.
  3. In-depth knowledge of engineering practices, functions, and processes related to power plant operation and maintenance.
  4. Substantial knowledge of maintenance work, engineering practices, and the functions and processes involved in power plant operations.
  5. Good leadership and decision-making skills.
  6. Good understanding on maintenance management concepts and practices.
  7. Ability to communicate effectively in English.
  8. Knowledge of risk management techniques.
  9. Knowledge of commercial processes and budgeting experience.
