Job summary

Job description

Lead and oversee daily kitchen operations to ensure high-quality food preparation and presentation.

Create, develop, and set up menus, including seasonal specials and cost-effective dishes.

Supervise kitchen staff, assign tasks, and ensure smooth workflow during peak hours.

Maintain food quality, hygiene, and safety standards according to company SOP and regulatory requirements.

Monitor food inventory, manage stock levels, and prepare purchasing requests when necessary.

Control food costs and reduce wastage through proper planning and portion control.

Train and guide new and existing kitchen staff to improve skills and performance.

Ensure all kitchen equipment is maintained properly and report issues immediately.

Work closely with management to implement new menu ideas, promotions, and improvements.

Job Requirements

Proven working experience as a Head Chef or Senior Chef.

Strong knowledge in cooking techniques, kitchen management, and food safety.

Creativity in menu planning and recipe development.

Ability to lead, motivate, and train the kitchen team.

Good communication skills and ability to work under pressure.

Flexibility to work weekends, public holidays, and peak business hours.
