Plan, organize, and supervise daily food production operations.
Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, portioning, and quality.
Develop, standardize, and enforce recipes and production procedures.
Monitor food preparation to meet production schedules and service requirements.
Manage kitchen workflow to ensure efficiency and productivity.
Coordinate with purchasing, stores, and service teams to ensure smooth operations.
Oversee equipment usage, cleanliness, and maintenance.
Implement systems to reduce waste and improve operational efficiency.
Control food costs through proper portioning, yield management, and waste reduction.
Monitor inventory levels and ensure accurate stock rotation (FIFO).
Assist in budgeting, menu costing, and supplier coordination.
Ensure minimal variance between theoretical and actual food costs.
Ensure strict compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
Enforce HACCP, local food regulations, and company policies.
Conduct regular kitchen inspections and corrective actions where necessary.
Lead, supervise, and motivate kitchen staff.
Train team members on recipes, production standards, and safety procedures.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching.
Manage staff scheduling and manpower planning.
Support menu development and new product launches.
Adapt recipes for large-scale production without compromising quality.
