About Create

EA Create is a collection of content production teams that work with EA Studios game teams to bring outstanding visuals, audio, and technology to life. The team includes artists, engineers, technicians, designers, and development directors who collaborate across the globe to produce extraordinary content.

Role

This artist role is the point of contact between the teams. You will align the vision and goals with directors, provide direct creative input, and plan collaborations. You will oversee the art team's work and quality specific to 3D asset creation, focusing on quality consistency, performance, technical innovation, and team growth. You will report to the domain lead and senior artists.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Art Director in driving and maintaining the high visual quality of hardware assets, inspiring and aligning with the project vision.
  • Partner with the AD and other departments to improve the work pipeline, research new art styles, and adapt new techniques, tools, and workflows.
  • Detect potential risks in production and work with partners to develop mitigation plans.
  • Deliver feedback to internal and external teams to maintain art style understanding and quality for the project.
  • Benchmark product assets according to the art guidance provided.
  • Produce realistic‑style weapons and vehicle assets with an understanding of modern military equipment.
  • Maintain strong aesthetics and self‑requirements; demonstrate learning ability and initiative.
  • Communicate effectively and understand team needs.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in AAA game production as a hardware (environment) lead or experienced artist.
  • Excellent understanding of hard‑surface modeling and texturing.
  • Proficiency with production software such as Maya, 3ds Max, Fusion, etc.
  • In‑depth knowledge of weapons, vehicles, and industrial design principles.
  • Understanding of FPS game types.
  • Expertise in PBR workflows and curiosity about new industry workflows.
  • Ability to collaborate and polish art quality with other teams; complete optimization, implementation, and debugging passes with the TA team.
  • Ability to provide precise and concise feedback in verbal, written, paint‑over, and presentation forms.
