Job description

Manage application, renewal, and maintenance of HALAL certification (JAKIM).

Prepare and maintain all required halal documentation, reports, and audit records.

Liaise with JAKIM and other relevant authorities during audits and inspections.

Compliance & Documentation

Develop, update, and enforce Halal SOPs, manuals, and guidelines.

Ensure all raw materials, ingredients, and additives are verified halal with valid supplier documentation.

Maintain records such as ingredient lists, supplier halal certificates, labels, and packaging approvals.

Internal Audit & Inspection

Plan and conduct internal halal audits at production facilities, warehouses, and storage areas.

Coordinate and support external halal audits by authorities or certification bodies.

Identify non-compliance issues and recommend corrective and preventive actions.

Evaluate and approve suppliers based on halal compliance requirements.

Monitor supplier halal certificates and ensure no risk of cross-contamination.

Ensure halal compliance clauses are included in supplier and vendor agreements.

Production & Supply Chain Support

Work closely with Production and Procurement teams to ensure halal compliance for existing and new products.

Review new product formulations, ingredients, and process changes from a halal perspective.

Ensure product labeling and marketing materials comply with halal regulations.

Conduct halal awareness training for employees across relevant departments.

Update internal teams on changes in halal standards, regulations, and best practices.

Handle halal-related inquiries, complaints, or issues from consumers and stakeholders.

Support management in responding to halal compliance matters or public concerns.
