The Graphic Designer & Social Media is responsible for all circulars, updates and communications for the department. The Graphic Designer & Social Media assist in the creation of visual content for both digital and print media. This role involves in producing marketing materials, social media assets, and other visual content that aligns with the Company's brand guidelines. The Graphic Designer & Social Media will gain experience in the design process while contributing fresh, creative ideas to various projects.The role also requires working closely with the Group B40 team to help develop and execute social media strategies that align with overall marketing objectives.
The Job
- Assist in the creation of marketing materials, including brochures, flyers, banners, posters, material for web pages, design logos for products and businesses, develop signs and environmental graphics and social media graphics, including overseeing the selection of colors, images, textures and shapes to create the layout and arrangement of size and elements in creative projects.
- Design digital assets such as social media posts, email templates, web banners, and infographics. Ensure all visuals are optimized for digital platforms, considering resolution, file formats and size requirements.
- Stay current with trends in social medial and digital design to ensure designs remain fresh and relevant.
- Work alongside Group B40 marketing team to understand project needs and objectives by participating in brainstorming sessions to contribute new ideas and creative solutions.
- Work with Brand & Communications team to ensure all designs follow the company's brand guidelines and maintain a consistent look and feel across all projects.
- Assist in the creating and curating content for social media channels, including text, images, videos and stories.
- Schedule posts across platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok, LinkedIn and others using social media management tools.
- Monitor social media channels for comments, messages, mentions and respond to inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Conduct research on industry trends, competitor activity and platform updates to keep social media efforts relevant and effective.
- Assist in developing and executing social media strategies to increase engagement and ensuring that all expenses (e.g. ad, campaign) spend aligns with the overall social media budget.
- Track basic social media metrics such as likes, shares, comments, and follower growth to measure content performance.
- Prepare monthly reports to evaluate the effectiveness of social media activities and make recommendations for improvement.
- Ensure that all social media contents are in compliance to the Rules and Regulations of BNM, MTA, Company Brands guidelines and Takaful Act.
Our Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in graphic design, visual arts, digital media or a related field.
- At least 1-2 years of experience in graphic design role, internships or freelance work.
- A portfolio demonstrating design abilities through a various project, whether academic or professional.
- Familiar with major social media platforms e.g., Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Tik Tok) and their features.
- Proficient in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and video editing tools to create visually appealing content. Familiar with tools like Canva is an added advantage.
- Excellent written communication skills for creating captions and engaging contents.
- Is attention to detail; strong focus on details in design work, including layout, color and typography, careful attention to grammar, spelling and brand voice consistency across all posts.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines, balancing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Has basic understanding of social media analytics and ability to interpret data to improve content performance.
- Creative thinking with the ability to adapt quickly to new trends and platform updates.
