A leading manufacturing company in Malaysia is seeking a Senior Executive of General Affairs Services to oversee plant-wide operations and continuous improvement. This role includes budget management, compliance monitoring, and promoting safety and welfare within the workplace. Candidates should have a minimum bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least five years of management experience. The position requires strong people management skills, government legal compliance knowledge, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
The Senior Executive of General Affairs Services is responsible for overseeing the execution and continuous improvement of plant-wide GA operations. This role supports the Department Head, Executives, and Supervisors in delivering high-quality services across key areas including canteen operations, cleaning, pest control, hostel management, company uniform distribution, bus transportation, company vehicle administration, and license maintenance. Ensures that all services are implemented effectively and efficiently, in full compliance with government regulations, company policies, and safety, health, and environmental standards. This position plays a critical role in fostering a well‑managed, safe, and supportive workplace environment for all employee’s welfare across the organization.
Lead and supervise all activities within the General Affairs Services section, ensuring alignment with company policies, procedures, and best practices. Ensure all operations comply with approved manuals, internal standards, contractual obligations, and sound engineering and management principles.
Develop, monitor, and control departmental budgets, investments, manpower planning, and accounting records to ensure cost‑effectiveness and transparency.
Conduct regular departmental meetings, internal audits, and inspections to assess compliance, evaluate team performance, and implement corrective actions with follow‑up reviews.
Spearhead the planning and execution of major company‑wide events such as the Annual Dinner, Family Day, Company Anniversary celebrations, and other special occasions that enhance employee engagement and corporate culture.
Design and implement preventive measures and training programs related to workplace rules, safety, environmental sustainability, and regulatory compliance.
Oversee the management and maintenance of plant surroundings and coordinate site visits to ensure operational readiness and a safe working environment.
Advise management on legal and regulatory matters, ensuring all projects and activities comply with relevant authorities, DNJP, Regional DIAT, and customer guidelines.
Collaborate with leadership to develop and maintain an Emergency Action Plan; act as the primary contact for incident reporting, investigation, and case management.
Coordinate schedules, activity tracking, reporting, and documentation submissions; provide timely updates on project status and departmental initiatives to senior management.
Actively participate in cross‑functional meetings and maintain a visible presence across operational sites to support team engagement and issue resolution.
