Job Description

Business Analyst – Wealth Management / Investment Banking (GenAI-Enabled) Drive requirements, use case discovery, and process design for GenAI-powered wealth and investment banking solutions. Partner with RMs, product, compliance, and engineering to deliver AI copilots, research automation, portfolio insights, suitability tools, and next‑best‑action engines. Requires strong financial domain knowledge, BA skills, and interest in AI/LLM innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Business Analysis & Domain Leadership
• Lead requirement gathering for wealth/investment banking journeys:
  • Client onboarding & KYC
  • Portfolio construction & rebalancing
  • Suitability/appropriateness checks
  • Research & investment insights
  • Trade lifecycle
  • Relationship manager (RM) and advisor productivity
• Produce BRDs, FRDs, process maps (As‑Is/To‑Be), user stories, acceptance criteria, and documentation.
• GenAI Use Case Discovery & Validation
  • Partner with business owners to identify high‑value AI opportunities:
    • Automated investment commentary generation
    • Research summarization & insight extraction
    • Auto‑generation of RM notes
    • Client persona profiling & next‑best‑action
    • Trade confirmation/exception handling assistants
    • Policy/regulatory Q&A copilots
  • Evaluate feasibility using impact vs. complexity models and ROI frameworks.
• GenAI Solution Design & Requirements
  • Translate business needs into AI‑specific requirements:
    • Prompt strategies
    • Data sources for retrieval (RAG)
    • Model behavior guardrails
    • Hallucination/error tolerance thresholds
    • Compliance/redaction requirements
  • Define functional and non‑functional requirements for GenAI applications, copilots, and multi‑agent.
• Data, Compliance & Risk Alignment
  • Work with Data, Risk, and Compliance teams to ensure:
    • PDPA/GDPR and data handling compliance
    • Suitability and risk‑profiling constraints
    • Regulatory reporting requirements (MiFID II, BNM/MAS if applicable)
    • Controls to prevent unauthorized recommendations or mis‑selling
    • Proper documentation for model decision lineage, DISCLAIMERS, and safety guardrails
• Delivery, Testing & Change Management
  • Support delivery teams in creating wireframes, UX flows, prototypes, and testing strategies for GenAI‑enabled tools.
  • Lead UAT with RMs, advisors, product teams, and compliance stakeholders.
  • Manage impact analysis, training materials, and rollout communications.
  • Track KPIs such as productivity uplift, reduction in processing time, accuracy, adoption, and model feedback loops.
• Cross‑functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with:
    • Wealth/Investment Product teams
    • Front‑office RMs and advisors
    • Compliance, Risk, and Legal
    • Data Engineering & AI teams
    • Architecture and IT delivery
  • Facilitate workshops, design sessions, and stakeholder alignment forums.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Business, or related discipline.
• 5–10+ years experience as a Business Analyst within Wealth Management, Private Banking, Asset Management, or Investment Banking.
• Strong understanding of:
  • Investment products (equities, fixed income, funds, structured products, alternatives)
  • Portfolio management, asset allocation, rebalancing
  • Advisory KYC, suitability assessments
  • Trade lifecycle: order capture → execution → settlement → reporting
  • Experience writing BRDs, FRDs, user stories, and process flows using BPMN/UML.
