Job description

As a Fullstack Lead specializing in Backend, you will play a key role in leading the development team to design and deliver enterprise‑grade web applications using Angular, NodeJS, Java, and Spring Boot.

Lead backend development and guide the team in delivering high‑quality Java/Spring Boot services aligned with the Application Architect’s design.

Translate architecture and technical designs into clear tasks, estimates, and implementation plans.

Review backend code to ensure clean, modular, maintainable implementations and adherence to standards.

Provide technical leadership by mentoring developers, resolving complex issues, and driving engineering best practices.

Design, develop, and maintain microservices and RESTful APIs using Spring Boot.

Implement and manage integrations with Kafka, internal systems (BFF, EBS, legacy services), and external partners.

Collaborate with frontend teams to ensure backend and BFF APIs align with Angular‑based UI workflows.

Support CI/CD pipelines, deployments, and production releases.

Assist with technical documentation, requirement clarification, and Agile delivery activities.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; AWS certification is a bonus.

5+ years of experience, including 2+ years in a senior/lead backend role, with strong hands‑on expertise in Java (8+).

Proven experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, RESTful APIs, microservices, and event‑driven architecture.

Hands‑on experience with Kafka and system integrations (internal and external).

Working knowledge of Angular frontend patterns to support BFF design and frontend–backend integration.

Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB) and writing optimized SQL procedures.

Experience with unit and API testing (JUnit, Mockito, Postman, REST Assured).

Proficiency in Git, CI/CD, and build tools (Maven, Gradle).

Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and AWS cloud services.

Strong understanding of OWASP security standards.

Experience with IDEs such as IntelliJ IDEA or Eclipse.

Insurance domain experience is a plus.

Strong problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
