Job description

Join the core development team behind Phillip MyWealth—our next-gen wealth management platform. You’ll help build solutions that empower financial advisors and clients across various markets. As a junior developer, you’ll work alongside experienced engineers, learning to integrate modern frontend interfaces, scalable APIs, and robust backend systems for the financial industry. You’ll be supported as you grow your skills and contribute to the platform’s performance, maintainability, and security.

What You Will Be Working On

As a junior developer, you’ll build responsive and user-friendly web interfaces using Angular, help design and develop secure .NET Core APIs, write and optimise SQL queries and stored procedures, collaborate with product owners and designers, troubleshoot application issues, participate in code reviews and automated testing, contribute to CI/CD workflows, and continuously learn and improve development practices and platform performance.

In This Role, You Will
  • Assist in building responsive and user-friendly web interfaces using Angular (training provided)
  • Help design and develop secure .NET Core APIs under guidance
  • Write and optimise SQL queries and stored procedures with support from senior team members
  • Collaborate with product owners, system analysts, QA testers, and UI/UX designers
  • Troubleshoot application issues across frontend, backend, and database layers with mentorship
  • Participate in code reviews, automated testing, and follow coding standards
  • Contribute to CI/CD workflows and Agile sprints as part of a team
  • Continuously learn and explore ways to improve development practices and platform performance
What We Are Looking For

We’re looking for a problem-solver who’s just as comfortable working with APIs and database logic as they are building dynamic UIs. If you're passionate about delivering impactful software and love working across the stack, this role is for you!

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • Up to 2 years of experience in software development (internships, academic projects, or personal projects count)
  • Familiarity with frontend technologies: Angular (v10+), HTML5, CSS3, and REST APIs (academic or project experience is welcome)
  • Basic understanding of backend development with C#, .NET Core, and database concepts
  • Exposure to SQL (queries, stored procedures, etc.) through coursework or projects
  • Willingness to learn version control tools (Git), Agile/Scrum methodologies, and CI/CD processes
  • Strong analytical skills, initiative, and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Bonus

Exposure to Docker, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), or automated testing frameworks is a plus, but not required.
