Job summary

A leading plantation company in Malaysia is seeking a Maintenance Technician to service and maintain heavy vehicles and machinery. The ideal candidate has at least a diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronic Engineering and a minimum of 2 years of experience. Responsibilities include troubleshooting equipment failures, monitoring maintenance materials, and ensuring safety protocols are followed. This role requires a commitment to work in a plantation environment and may involve overtime.

Qualifications

Responsibilities
  • Responsible to service and maintain heavy-sized vehicles, machineries and equipment to ensure the machines are in good condition for operation.
  • To troubleshoot machine breakdown and failure to ensure minimum production downtime.
  • Monitor and follow up on material that required for maintenance job and responsible to inform superior for ordering.
  • Ensure all safety protocols are followed.
  • Carry out routine inspection and any other task as assigned by immediate superior.
Requirements
  • Candidate must possess at least Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/ Mechatronic Engineering or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years working experience in vehicle and machinery maintenance.
  • Prior experience in palm oil estate will be an added advantage
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia will be an added advantage.
  • Responsible and able to work independently.
  • Able to work overtime and as and when required.
  • Willing to work and live in plantation environment.
