Job description
Responsibilities

Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with MFRS and IFRS. Ensure compliance with Bursa Malaysia listing requirements, Securities Commission guidelines and statutory obligations. Coordinate the external audit process. Lead annual budgeting and monthly forecasting across business units, providing in‑depth variance analysis and supporting strategic decision‑making. Establish robust internal controls, accounting policies, SOPs, and perform regular financial and operational risk assessments; ensure SOX compliance where applicable. Manage cash flow planning, working capital, banking relationships, foreign‑exchange exposure and hedging strategies. Supervise standard costing, inventory valuation and COGS accuracy, and work with operations to analyze production efficiency, yield, scrap and material variances, cost competitiveness. Prepare and present financial and risk reports to the Board, Audit Committee and management, ensuring adherence to corporate governance best practices. Oversee tax filings (SST, withholding tax, etc.), liaise with tax agents on planning, transfer‑pricing and compliance matters.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
  • Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) – mandatory.
  • 8–12 years of finance and accounting experience, with at least 3–5 years in a senior controller role, preferably in an EMS or manufacturing environment.
  • Prior experience in a public listed company with familiarity of Bursa Malaysia reporting requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of cost accounting, financial modelling and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Proven leadership and team‑management skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Experience with cross‑border transactions and multi‑currency environments.
  • Familiarity with ESG‑related reporting in line with Bursa sustainability disclosures.
