Financial Reporting & Compliance

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS).
• Ensure compliance with Companies Act 2016, Income Tax Act 1967, Sales & Services Tax (SST) requirements, and other relevant regulations.
• Coordinate statutory audits and liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and regulatory authorities.

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

• Lead budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Conduct financial analysis, variance analysis, and business performance reviews.

Taxation

• Oversee preparation and submission of corporate tax, withholding tax, and SST filings.
• Ensure correct tax treatment for transactions under Malaysian tax laws.
• Work with tax consultants on transfer pricing documentation.

Cash Flow & Treasury Management

• Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and working capital.
• Manage banking relationships with Malaysian financial institutions.
• Streamline AR/AP processes to ensure healthy cash positioning.

Internal Controls & Governance

• Establish strong internal controls to protect company assets.
• Review and updatefinancepolicies in accordance with local Malaysia laws and corporate standards.
• Support risk management and ensure proper documentation and audit trails.

Cost Accounting & Analysis

• Maintain and updateERP systems,coststandards, and BOMs (Bills of Materials).
• Perform detailedcostanalysis for materials, labor, overhead, and production processes.
• Prepare and update standardcosts and review variances regularly.

Inventory & Production Costing

• Track inventory movements, perform stock valuations, and ensure accurate cost of goods sold (COGS).
• Conduct monthly and annual inventory reconciliations and cycle counts.
• Monitor WIP (Work in Progress) and ensure accurate costing of finished goods.

Team Leadership

• Supervise and mentor accountants or finance executives.
• Provide training on compliance, accounting standards, and financial systems.
• Foster a high-performance culture within the finance team.
