Finance Manager (Manufacturing | Transformation Role)
Location: Nilai, Negeri Sembilan

Salary Range: RM12,000 – RM15,000 (Negotiable based on experience)

The Opportunity
We are seeking a high-calibre Finance Manager to lead the finance function at our manufacturing facility in Nilai. This is a hands-on leadership role with strong ownership, visibility, and influence on business performance.
The role is ideal for a strong Finance Manager or high-potential finance professional who enjoys transformation, system enhancement, and partnering closely with operations and management.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting, Governance & Consolidation
- Own the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial records, including general ledger review, balance sheet reconciliations, and month-end close.
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing and reporting, including preparation of management accounts and group consolidated financial statements.
- Prepare and review financial analysis, reporting schedules, and variance explanations for management.
- Provide actionable financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, statutory requirements, and internal policies, while progressively strengthening governance in line with MNC best practices.
- Coordinate and support external audits and resolve audit findings.
- Drive continuous improvement of finance processes, internal controls, and reporting frameworks.
Fixed Asset & Inventory Governance
- Oversee the full fixed asset lifecycle, including capitalization, depreciation, disposals, write-offs, and physical verification.
- Strengthen fixed asset controls and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Ensure accurate inventory valuation and costing across all inventory categories.
- Monitor and manage slow-moving, obsolete, and excess inventory in collaboration with Operations and Supply Chain teams.
- Lead periodic physical inventory counts and resolve discrepancies.
- Enhance asset and inventory governance to support scalability and operational excellence.
ERP & Finance Transformation
- Play a key role in ERP implementation and finance system enhancements for manufacturing entities.
- Drive process standardization, data integrity, and reporting consistency across multiple legal entities in Malaysia.
- Act as the Finance subject matter expert during system design, testing, training, and post-go-live support.
- Identify opportunities for automation, digitalization, and efficiency improvements.
Leadership & Business Partnership
- Lead, coach, and develop the finance team, building a disciplined and high-performance finance function.
- Act as a trusted finance business partner to Plant Management and Senior leadership.
- Support strategic initiatives, cost optimization, and capital expenditure evaluations.
- Perform additional assignments and transformation projects as directed by the Chief Financial Officer.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
- Professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, or CPA is required.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant finance experience, with Manufacturing / Plant finance exposure strongly preferred.
- Experience in companies undergoing system, process, or governance transformation will be highly valued.
- Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards, financial reporting, and internal controls.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP exposure is an advantage).
- Experience in audit coordination and group consolidation is an added advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Able to thrive in a hands-on manufacturing environment.
- Willing to be based on-site in Nilai.
